General Foods - Good Seasons - Shake 'n Bake Chicken - mix box - 1970's
I'd been wanting to add a vintage Shake 'n Bake box to my collection for some time. Last year I finally was able to, but I still didn't have the iconic Shake 'n Bake Chicken package. Finally, I can put that little quest to bed. This is the one I remember above the others. It's also the basis for a classic Wacky Package sticker - which is one of the reasons I remember it so well.

Does anyone besides me remember the TV
adverts with the guy ... oh God what was his
name ... who was the general store keeper on
Green Acres (I'm pretty sure it was Green
Acres, but all the Paul Henning rural sitcoms
of the 1960s were related to each other
somehow).

Anyway, he's Pete, the Butcher, but I don't
know the actor who played him. Also, here are
